1 min read

The Mid Atlantic Air Museum in Reading, Pennsylvania held their annual WWII Weekend event on June 7-9, 2019. This three-day event brought together the young and old, to celebrate and honor our Veterans who fought in all theatres during World War II. The event’s highlights included original, restored, and WWII period-correct aircraft, vehicles, weapons, uniforms, and technology. Historians answered questions, performers sang songs from the era, and reenactors staged allied vs. enemy skirmishes. Reenactors portraying Franklin D. Roosevelt and wife, Eleanor Roosevelt, performed famous speeches on stage. VA’s Mobile Vet Center set up/staged/hosted a booth to provide information on VA benefits, services, counseling, and more.
