Did You know you know March 29, 2019, is NATIONAL VIETNAM VETERANS HOLIDAY?
A new NATIONAL HOLIDAY authorized recently.

National Vietnam War Veterans Day federal holiday. This year is the 50th anniversary of the VIETNAM WAR. NATIONAL VIETNAM WAR VETERANS DAY 2019 is a US holiday observed on March 29.

This national holiday recognizes all veterans who served during the
VIETNAM CONFLICT. This National holiday should not be confused with VETERANS DAY, celebrated in November.

But that’s not all there is to it. VIETNAM VETERANS HOLIDAY honors the sacrifices of Vietnam veterans and families.

National Vietnam war veterans day federal holiday. This holiday is part of a national recognization to the men and women who were denied a proper welcome upon returning home more than 40 years ago after the NORTH VIETNAM VS SOUTH VIETNAM CONFLICT. (war).

WHAT IS VIETNAM VETERANS DAY?
Most “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day” on March 29 or 30 annually. On March 29 in 1973, when the last troops came home from Vietnam. Also, the last prisoners of war held in North Vietnam arrived on American soil. President Nixon chose the first Vietnam Veterans Day in 1974.

How many Vietnam veterans are still alive in 2019? There were 2,709,918 Americans who served in Vietnam. The fatal military causalities were 58,220 U.S. from the Vietnam War.

Less than 850,000 are estimated to be alive today. The American Vietnam Veteran’s age is about 60 years old.

Unfortunately, many Veterans have not applied or received the VA Veterans benefits they earned. My recommendation is to find a certified VA ADVISOR to get help in filing your claim for VA BENEFITS.

How Will You Celebrate NATIONAL VIETNAM VETERANS HOLIDAY National Vietnam Veterans Holiday? Here are some ways I thought about celebrating National Veterans Holiday.

1. Give a prayer to my father who served in WWII.

2. Visit the National Cemetery where my Uncle was buried.

3. Help the Veterans where I live, at Madison Meadows, in Phoenix AZ, a retirement community to honor and celebrate this National Holiday.

4. Continue to publish Veterans Benefits Vlog to help veterans and families get the VA benefits they earned. No more no less!

VIETNAM WAR BACKGROUND
Just in case you forgot. The Vietnam War lasted 15 years,
the cost was exorbitant. This divisive conflict that pitted the communist government of North Vietnam against South Vietnam and its principal ally, the United States. All together over 3 million people (including over 58,000 Americans) lost their lives in the Vietnam War.

Half of the dead were Vietnamese civilians. The opposition to the war-divided Americans. The Vietnam War ended when President Richard Nixon
ordered the withdrawal of U.S. forces in 1973.

Let’s all celebrate national Vietnam veterans holiday in 2019 in honor of all veterans.
