On Sunday, 7 March 2021, our own Major General Roger E. Williams will retire from the United States Air Force and the North Carolina National Guard.
After successful commands of the 145th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 156th Airlift Squadron, 145th Operations Group, and the 145th Airlift Wing, General Williams served as the Assistant Adjutant General for Air and Commander of the North Carolina Air National Guard.

General Williams went on to serve at the national level as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commanders of 18th Air Force and Air Mobility Command culminating as Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, United States Transportation Command.

A retirement celebration in honor of General Williams and his family’s 35 years of service will be celebrated at the Epic Center.
