Capital Shield Exercise 2021 B-Roll
QUANTICO, VA, UNITED STATES
U.S. Marines from the Chemical/Biological Instant Response Force (CBIRF) conduct the Capital Shield Exercise at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Sept. 24, 2021. The purpose of the exercise is to support the national capital region through the transportation of vehicles, supplies, and personnel using the Landing Craft Air Cushions (LCAC). This annual exercise was designed to sharpen the operational readiness and capabilities of working in a joint environment. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Lance Cpl. Andrew Herwig)
The U.S. Navy and Marine Corps will conduct this annual exercise to ensure cohesiveness and the efficiency of these modes of transportation, in the event that the national capital region cannot be accessed via road. CBIRF was activated in April of 1996 by Gen. Charles C. Krulak, 31st Commandant of the Marine Corps, to counter the effects of chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear incidents.

I own U.S Veterans and I am a Veteran. I am making a website to help and inform US Veterans. I have many sites I own so I am a little slow at times. For those of you that have been following me this is my final answer for this website U.S. Veterans! I will be populating and updating it over the next few months as the site grows I hope to open it up more for veterans to log into and help and inform others of their experiences by early 2021.. I hope you find something helpful here and be sure to check back for updates. I have many news sites, you will find the RSS Feeds for those sites on U.S. Veterans.
